Applications:

• Commonly used to fix top hats to stud framing in external walls but they can also be used to fix top hats to masonry walls or for ceilings under concrete slabs.
• When using top hat cleats over stud framing, additional studs may need to be used to provide fixing points for the cleats.
• Top hat cleats are also ideally suited to curved walls where curving the row of horizontal top hats is not possible.

Benefits:

• Enables the easy fixing of top hats to various substrates.
• It is common to use two rows of top hats (horizontal then vertical) under the cladding for external walls, but the top hat cleats can remove the need for the first layer of horizontal top hats.
